CHRISTIAN NEWS

Sorry, no Christian news. No, that's not a joke! There is no Christian news agency in the United States. By news agency we mean a business that's capable of maintaining reporters where events happen, present the current news to the public in a timely fashion, and be comprehensive in coverage. Well, there is none. But what about WND, CWN, Hal Lindsey... ? You do find interesting news on these sites, especially "older" news if we may say so, that are presented from a Christian perspective and often for the purpose of correcting the untruth. But if you wanted the latest, you won't find it here. These are not real news agencies. It is almost unbelievable that in a country where more that 90% claim to belong to the Christian faith, and where most universities used to be Christian, where so many newspapers were the same, where women used to walk with a Bible under the arm (instead of a purse), there is no trace of this heritage. The reason? Obviously, lack of public support. Unfortunately, today's Christians mostly claim the name, without being so. We would, certainly, have a great Christian news agency, and not have to watch CNN, Reuters and BBC, if the public would put their money in it. But the truth is that the public gladly pays for CNN because they like it, it's what they want to hear. Didn't the rest of the world renounce Christianity as well? And didn't the Scripture say that the day of the Lord "shall not come, except there come a falling away first"?
